MicaSense RedEdge-M
Overview
The MicaSense RedEdge-M is a rugged multispectral camera focusing on the acquisition of vegetation health indices within the visible to NIR. It sacrifices the thermal capabilities of the Altum for a lower payload weight and power draw. It consists of 5 multispectral bands – blue, green, red-edge, and the near infrared – that are used for the calculation of indices such as NDVI. Like the MicaSense Altum, the camera is calibrated by the use of a reflectance panel and downwelling light sensor (DLS 2), which includes an integrated GPS unit.
