Midac Corporation Open Path FTIR Model M4401-SP
Overview
The Midac Model M4401-SP Open Path Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) field spectrometer is a portable FTIR instrument providing hyperspectral measurements in the 1.5 to 15.5 μm spectral range. It is ideally suited for providing point measurements in support of atmospheric sciences, wildfire ecology, or volcanology. In particular, the lightweight and portable nature of the instrument, coupled with high spectral resolution and broad spectral range, has made it a critical and key instrument used by the UK volcanology community, which often must plan rapidly around unpredictable eruptions in often difficult to reach areas.
