Spectral Evolution PSR+ 3500

Overview

The Spectral Evolution PSR+ 3500 is a full range single-beam field spectroradiometer measuring over the visible to short-wave infrared wavelength range (350-2500nm). The subminiature assembly (SMA) mating on the fibre optic accessory for the PSR+ 3500, combined with an extensive array of accessories, makes it ideal for customizable setups for field spectroscopy, including interfacing with the FSF Absorption Spectroscopy Kit.

The PSR+ 3500 can be operated in stand alone mode using the in built graphical user display at the rear of the unit, or via wired or wireless connection to a Windows OS computer with Spectral Evolution’s DARWin SP data acquisition software installed. DARWin SP also comes pre-installed with a spectral library of mineral reflectances, as well as the ability to conduct calculation of basic spectral indices, such as NDVI, on acquired spectra.

The instrument can be operated in nadir mode using one of the two (4° and 8°) foreoptic lenses, or – when using the SMA connector fibre optic extension – attached to a bundled contact probe, as well as to any device or accessory which accepts SMA connectors1

The PSR+ 3500 also comes with an external light source and fibre contact probe, allowing for mm spot size contact measurements.
